In the 1970’S James Lovelock coined the phrase that, the earth should be viewed as a vast self regulating organism and that living matter on the earth collectively defines & regulates the material conditions necessary for the continuance of life. The planet, our mother earth or rather the biosphere, is thus likened to a vast self-regulating organism…!!!
